ONYX-RSD kit — advanced diagnostics for intermittent faults

The ONYX-RSD is a specialized ONYX kit built for intermittent faults on rotary screw compressors. It instruments the machine in depth — 6 temperature points, pressure and power quality — with a remote alarm, online or offline. It’s the advanced-diagnostics tool we deploy when the problem hides.

Field challenge

Intermittent faults are the most expensive to diagnose: the compressor trips, overheats or weakens “every now and then,” then everything returns to normal before the technician arrives. A one-time measurement catches nothing — you have to instrument the machine and wait for the event to happen again.

Measurable benefits

Six temperature probes (bearings, stages, oil, air), a pressure probe and a power-quality analyzer record continuously. The remote alarm flags the deviation the moment it occurs, and the data around the event is kept: the intermittent cause becomes visible, time-stamped and quantified. No more guesswork.

Online or offline

The kit works online — live data in the online charts and a remote alarm — or in standalone offline mode: it records locally even with no network, useful in unconnected rooms. How does this differ from the ONYX-DIAG?

The ONYX-DIAG measures the system's energy efficiency (power, pressure, flow). The ONYX-RSD is an advanced-diagnostics kit: it instruments one rotary screw compressor in depth (6 temperatures, pressure, power quality) to track down a specific intermittent fault.

Why six temperature sensors?

To locate the source of an intermittent overheating: bearings, compression stages, oil, intake and discharge air. Six points cover the critical zones of a rotary screw compressor.

What if the room has no network?

The kit works offline: it records locally, standalone, and the data is retrieved afterwards. Online, you also get live tracking and the remote alarm.
