ONYX-RUN kit — run status and power

The ONYX-RUN kit is the entry point to IoT monitoring by Onyx M3: a Rogowski coil per compressor (Accuenergy components) to measure current, an IoT server reading everything over Modbus, and online dashboards — local server or cloud (managed by Onyx M3), your choice. Power (kW · kWh) is added as an option.

Field challenge

Without measurement, compressed air is a black box: nobody knows when the compressors run, which ones work for nothing, or what the room costs in electricity. Every decision — sequencing, replacement, incentives — then rests on impressions.

Measurable benefits

From day one, every compressor shows its run status and its current — and, optionally, its real power in kW (and energy in kWh). Idle running, forgotten weekends and overconsumption become visible in the online charts. It is also the starting data of our assessment and the foundation of any optimization case.

Frequently asked questions

Does the data stay on our site?

Your choice. The ONYX server can stay fully local (closed network, no data leaves the plant) or in the cloud managed by Onyx M3 — cloud hosting is flat-rate, included in the agreement, with no per-use subscription.

Do the sensors require opening electrical circuits?

No. Current is measured with a Rogowski coil (a flexible current transformer) clipped around existing conductors, with no interruption. An electrician may still be required depending on your internal rules. Power (kW) is added as an option by referencing the voltage.

How is this different from the CALMS platform?

They complement each other. The ONYX kit is an open measurement solution (Modbus + online charts), local or cloud, with no subscription. CALMS adds a cloud platform specialized in compressed air: analysis, advanced alarms and automatic reports. We help you choose — or combine both.
