CAL-SENSOR-WBOX — wireless sensor module (W-Modbus)
The CAL-SENSOR-WBOX is an extension module that connects sensors to the CAL-EDGE-8 logger over wireless Modbus. It removes the cabling to distant or hard-to-reach measurement points: up to 16 sensors per module, an outdoor range of 240 m, and data that rises to the CALMS platform just like a wired sensor.
Field challenge
In a real plant, the sensor you’d want to read is often where the cable can’t go: a compressor at the far end of the building, a network point up high, a dryer in a separate room. Pulling a shielded cable out there is expensive and delays the measurement.

The sensor connects to the WBOX, which transmits wirelessly to the logger — installation in minutes, with no cable tray. The w-Modbus mesh covers large sites (up to 100 nodes) and the industrial enclosure (-40 to 85 °C, DIN rail) holds up in tough environments. The measurements arrive in CALMS exactly like the wired channels.
